Jermeale Lewis-Johnson is a Licensed Customs Broker and Certified Customs Specialist, serving as the International Trade Specialist at Just Your Broker Inc. She provides expert guidance to importers, helping them navigate complex federal regulations, product classification, and the customs clearance process. With specialized knowledge of commodities regulated by the FDA, DEA, EPA, and FWS, Jermeale ensures her clients stay compliant while optimizing efficiency and cost.
Prior to her work in international trade, Jermeale gained critical operational insight as a Transportation Security Officer with the TSA, where she developed a strong understanding of standard operating procedures and their role in national security and trade facilitation. Today, she uses that experience to streamline import operations through customized SOPs, detailed documentation reviews, and strategic partnerships—saving clients significant time and money.
In 2019, Jermeale published her e-book, What Importers Should Know, to empower businesses with key insights into the import process. Her dedication to client success extends beyond the 9-to-5, offering late-night and weekend support to meet the dynamic needs of international trade.
Jermeale also contributes to the broader trade community as the Marketing Co-chair of the Organization of Women in International Trade – New York. Just Your Broker Inc., her firm, is proudly certified as a NYC Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprise (MWBE).
