Kgosi (Queen) of the Barolong Boo Seleka, Thaba 'Nchu, Free State Province, South Africa.
Her Majesty Kgosi Gaboilelwe Moroka is the current ruler of Barolong Boo Seleka from Thaba ’Nchu, Free State Province, South Africa. She is an activist, barrier-breaker, warrior, and selfless advocate of the restoration of dignity and hope for the people. She is very passionate about rural development. She is the current Deputy Chairperson of the Free State Provincial House of Traditional and Khoi-San Leaders.
As founder of the Princess Gabo Foundation, she advocates and supports responsible reproductive, maternal, and child health. She is also one of the founders of the Boikanyego NPO, which provides meals daily to 200 underprivileged and unemployed persons.
She served as a leader of a delegation to the National House of Traditional Leaders (2017 to 2022), where she served as member of the Executive Committee and convenor of the special task team on InvestRural, spearheaded by the partner Mosiamise, resulted in a blueprint for rural development in Traditional communities, called the InvestRural masterplan. This master plan was endorsed by the President of the Democratic Republic of South Africa, Mr. Ramaphosa.
Her Majesty is the current Provincial Convenor of Contralesa: Free State
Kgosi Gaboilelwe Moroka is recognised globally for her advocacy work. She is an international speaker, a Brand SA ambassador, a Social Cohesion Facilitator, and a national SheDecides patron. Kgosi Moroka is a regular and seasoned delegate at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women. She actively participates as a speaker in various platforms, advocating for women/girls and Rural Development.
She serves as a director on the board of Resilient Regenerative Agricultural Initiative NPC (RRAIN), a non-profit company that was created to modernise, mechanise and commercialise smallholder farming in the deep rural, communal and peri-urban areas of South Africa by following the landscapes approach to agricultural development.
Her Majesty also serves as a director in Agri All Africa.
Kgosi sits on the Africa Advisory Board of Global Forum of Women Entrepreneurs.

She is a 2017 Mandela Washington Fellowship alumna from Indiana University, USA (a flagship programme for young African leaders, a prestigious presidential programme that was initiated by former President Barack Obama of the USA).
She was a Reimagine SA activist.
She is a former civil servant with over a decade of experience in public administration at both the provincial and local government levels.
She is awarded her Honorary PHD in Entreprenology, an Earned Life Credential and Professional Higher Doctorate as a recognition of her excellence in Leadership and the Development of her people, and will be awarded in Tanzania July 9th 2025 at the Africa Trade Conference.
