Elizabeth Mleli is the Executive Secretary of Commonwealth Business Women Africa – Tanzania and Founder of Sure Starts Inclusive School and Building Inclusive Communities. She is a passionate advocate, championing inclusive education and driving impactful social change across Tanzania and beyond.
Elizabeth is a dynamic leader spearheading inclusive leadership and empowerment initiatives as the Executive Secretary of Commonwealth Business Women Africa – Tanzania. With over 20 years of experience in international development, education, and capacity building, she is a passionate advocate for equitable, inclusive communities.
Her career includes impactful roles such as Senior Consultant at Deloitte Consulting Tanzania, where she led capacity-building for the USAID-PEPFAR TUNAJALI project, and as Social Inclusion Programme Manager in the UK. She also brings experience from the banking sector with Lloyds TSB.
Elizabeth serves as Continental Head of Quality Inclusive Education and Deputy Head of Continental Projects under CBW-Africa, championing gender- and disability-inclusive education systems. She is a Vital Voices Fellow, a Top 50 Women in Management Africa awardee, and a recipient of the African Entrepreneurship Mentor Award.
