Elizabeth (Liz) F. Mleli is the Founder and Managing Director of Sure Starts Inclusive Early Childhood and Primary School, a pioneering institution committed to inclusive, high-quality education. A dedicated social entrepreneur, Elizabeth is driven by a passion for creating innovative solutions to social challenges, particularly those affecting marginalized communities.
For over nine years, she has successfully led Sure Starts in providing an educational environment where every child—regardless of ability—has access to learning opportunities tailored to their unique needs. Under her leadership, the school integrates academic instruction with social and emotional development, instilling strong moral values and fostering holistic growth.
Elizabeth’s work contributes meaningfully to four of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: Quality Education (SDG 4), Gender Equality (SDG 5), Good Health and Well-Being (SDG 3), and Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10). Her efforts are rooted in the belief that every individual has a purpose, and that inclusive support systems are essential to help people—especially children—reach their full potential.
Elizabeth is guided by a strong sense of purpose: to champion the rights and dignity of socially excluded groups and to lay the groundwork for a more just and compassionate society.
